By this agreement, Drakon Rental Cars rents to the undersigned renter the car depicted herein (including any car that replaces it) in accordance with the following terms and agreements, including those stated on the front side, which the renter fully accepts.
General Car Rental Terms
RENTAL CAR AGE REQUIREMENTS AND DRIVING LICENSE
The minimum age to rent a car is 21 years while the maximum age is 70 years. Drivers must have held a full license for a minimum of 1 year. The driving license must be Greek, European (for EU countries) or international (for non-EU countries).
DRIVING LICENSE AND PASSPORT OR IDENTITY CARD
When picking up the vehicle, the driver and the co-driver must present a valid driver’s license alongside a valid identification card or passport. If the driver does not have their driver’s license, ID or passport with them, or any of them is invalid or not the original, the rental cannot take place. The driver’s license, passport or ID must be original. Faxes or photocopies are not accepted.
PAYMENT METHOD
Credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard) or cash payments are accepted at pick up.
CAR RENTAL
Car rental is calculated per 24 hours. Any additional delay is charged additionally according to the previous agreement.
CHANGE AND CANCELLATION OF RESERVATION
A change to a reservation can be made by telephone and may result in a change to the final total cost, depending on availability of the vehicles and on rental prices available at that time. In case of cancellation of the reservation, the critical point is the point in time at which you decide to proceed with the cancellation.
Specifically, if you cancel your reservation at least 20 days before the agreed rental date, you will not be charged any fees and will be additionally entitled to a refund of the total amount of the deposit. In a period of less than 20 days before the agreed arrival date, you will have to pay 30% of the total amount that you would have paid had you not cancelled.
EARLY RETURN
In case of returning the car earlier than the reservation date, there will be no refund.
INSURANCE COVERAGE
With F.D.W. (Full Damage Waiver), you reduce your deductible to zero (0) for damages caused by the renter in the event of an accident. FDW coverage does not cover damage to the wheels or the underside of the car. It also does not cover damage that occurs inside the car such as cigarette burns, interior damage, damage from pets, etc.
The above coverage (F.D.W.) is not an insurance product but rather a private agreement between Drakon Rental Cars and the renter. It does not cover damages caused while the driver is under the influence of alcohol or toxic substances, in violation of the Greek Highway Code (N2696/1999 Government Gazette 57A’) or by persons who have not been declared as drivers in the rental contract, as well as in the event that a record of the incident is not provided by the traffic police or the accident care service of the insurance company where Drakon Rental Cars are insured.
The report of a traffic accident should be requested from the agency that has responded to the accident. In case the renter was not in the car at the time of the damage, they are obliged to collect any information they can and immediately notify Drakon Rental Cars.
ACCIDENTS
In the event of an accident or other incident (fire, theft, etc.), the renter or additional driver is obliged to immediately do the following: a) Not admit fault or guilt and claims of third parties in any way, directly or indirectly, b) record the names and addresses of eyewitnesses, the name, address of the driver, and vehicle details of any vehicle involved in a collision with the rented vehicle, c) notify the police to determine third-party fault and provide medical assistance to any injured persons, d) immediately contact Drakon Rental Cars or the insurance accident care assistance, e) gather any relevant information from third parties, f) take photos of the accident scene and vehicles involved if possible. Within 24 hours, the renter is obliged to complete and sign an accident report and send any relevant documents or accident information. In the event of theft or loss of the vehicle, the renter must report the incident in writing to the nearest police authority within 24 hours.
Regular maintenance of the car is provided by Drakon Rental Cars. In case of damage, the renter is prohibited from repairing the car. The car’s tires are replaced regularly due to wear and tear. The renter will be held responsible for any damage due to misuse of the vehicle, including tire damage from the road surface or potholes.
In case of an accident due to the driver’s fault, the renter is charged with a 40€ incident administration fee. This amount is non-refundable.
FUEL POLICY
The renter is responsible for buying the necessary fuel during the rental period. At the end of the rental period, the renter has to return the car with the same quantity of fuel it had when collected.

Delivery to the airport is free of charge.
Transport of the car by ship is permitted after approval from Drakon Rental Cars.
ADDITIONAL CLEANING CHARGES

TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS

Drakon Rental Cars reserves the right to recover possession and use of the vehicle at any time without notice and without the consent of the renter, but at the renter’s expense, from anywhere and by any means, if there is, at the discretion of the company, a risk of damage or loss of the vehicle as well as risk of not receiving the rental charge or any other due compensation. Drakon Rental Cars has the right besides the above mentioned case to gain repossession and use of the car if it has been used or is being used in violation of this agreement or of designated rental period.
During the rental period, the renter and any natural person signing this agreement are expected to take care of the vehicle, preserve it in good condition, check its mechanical condition, oil and water levels etc., the condition of the tires and traffic safety, lock it, use security systems and take measures to prevent theft or reduction in its value.
